After tallying just 11 points all season in limited action a year ago, Carpenter scored 28 points and knocked down seven 3-pointers to lead Roy to a 72-59 victory over Cottonwood on Tuesday.
Horsley rushed 37 times for 258 yards and a pair of touchdowns as the Grizzlies captured the class 3AA state title with 26-15 win over Dixie. The senior also completed 20-of-29 passes for 178 yards and a score.
On Nov. 17, Yetter signed a letter of intent to run track at BYU. Last spring, at the state track and field championships, she won the 4A title in both the 100 hurdles (14.76) and high jump (5'5") and took third in the javelin.
On Nov. 11, Jones signed a letter of intent to play tennis at Utah State University. The 2014 class 4A first singles state champion finished her high school career undefeated against region opponents. She missed the 2015 state tournament to compete in a national tournament.
Corbett caught five passes for 168 yards with two touchdowns and also returned a punt 84 yards for a touchdown to lead Logan (10-2 overall) to a 42-14 victory in the 3-AA semifinals at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Thursday night. The Grizzlies will face Dixie in the state championship game on Friday.
Redding helped lead the Braves to their first state volleyball title with a three-set victory (27-25, 25-17, 26-24) over defending champion Timpview. In the title match, Redding recorded 14 kills and eight blocks for Bountiful (12-0 Region 5, 22-4 overall).
Randall recorded 45 assists, 10 digs, three aces and two blocks as the Trojans swept Snow Canyon - 25-11, 25-21, 25-15 - to earn the 3A state championship. The victory capped a 31-0 season and gave Morgan its 16th state championship and first since 2011.
